Keyrails works with MacOS & Windows.

Stop fighting keyframes in

Drag handles perfectly horizontal in Premiere with ease. Smooth animations instantly.

The difference

Without vs With Keyrails

Before · Without Keyrails ❌

The handle drifts, the value breaks

Any slight cursor wobble shifts the handle vertically and changes the keyframe value. Your animation drifts, and you start over.

After · With Keyrails ✅

Smooth, precise curves on the first try

Drag your handle along a horizontal rail. The keyframe value never moves, just the easing shape - so you get it right in one pass.

Fixing Premiere Pro Keyframe Handle Drift

The Premiere graph editor was never built for fine motion control.
Keyrails closes the gap, no After Effects detour required.

The Problem

Premiere's keyframe handles are hard to control

When you adjust ease in / ease out keyframes in Premiere Pro, dragging the Bezier handle to shape the motion curve also nudges it up or down — which changes the keyframe's value and ruins the smooth motion. Instead of adjusting easing, you end up fighting the graph editor.

  • ✕ Handles drift up or down while you try to drag them in a straight horizontal line
  • ✕ Inconsistent motion curves that take several retries to get right
  • ✕ Zooming in and eyeballing alignment just to keep the value the same

It's why many editors find Premiere's graph editor harder to control than After Effects.

The Solution

Keyrails locks the value so you can shape the curve

Keyrails lets you drag keyframe handles horizontally without changing the keyframe value. Hold your hotkey and the handle snaps to a locked rail, so you can shape easing curves smoothly and precisely — without leaving the graph editor.

  • ✓ Drag handles in a perfect horizontal line to adjust ease in / ease out
  • ✓ Keyframe values stay locked while you adjust easing
  • ✓ Shape motion curves faster and more consistently
  • ✓ Stay inside Premiere Pro — no After Effects round-trip

The result: cleaner motion and a faster editing and animation workflow.

FAQs

Is Keyrails like holding shift in After Effects?
Basically, yes - but honestly it's even better. Keyrails snaps your cursor to the keyframe handle the moment you trigger the hotkey, so controlling ease-in / ease-out curves in Premiere becomes dramatically easier than the After Effects equivalent.
Does Keyrails work on Mac and Windows?
Yes, Keyrails works on macOS and Windows. Your purchase includes two license activations - use them on two different computers, or one Mac and one Windows machine. Keyrails uses Screen Recording permission only to detect keyframe handles in Premiere; it doesn't record or store any screen or audio data.
Do I need After Effects to use Keyrails?
No. Keyrails works directly inside Premiere and improves control of the Premiere graph editor. Many editors jump to After Effects because easing curves are easier to control there - Keyrails makes Premiere keyframe editing just as smooth, without ever leaving Premiere.
What versions of Premiere does Keyrails support?
Keyrails operates at the OS level, so it doesn't matter which version of Premiere you have. The only requirements are Windows 10 and above, or macOS 14 Sonoma and above.
Does Keyrails need permissions access?
On both Mac and Windows you'll first confirm that you trust the download. On Windows there are no further requirements. On Mac, Keyrails needs Screen Recording (to scan for the keyframe handle) and Accessibility (to trigger when you press the hotkey).
What hotkeys can I use?
Pretty much anything. Our favorite on Mac is just ⌘. Just be aware that if you pick a key you use often in other software, it may trigger the snapping effect when you don't expect it.
